Lithuania plans to update customs systems

On Saturday, September 2, an update of customs systems is planned in Lithuania, warn the Customs Department of the republic. Because of this, the reception of electronic documents will be suspended in the first half of the day.

As the department clarified, the customs systems will be updated on September 2 in the first half of the day - from 06.00 to 12.00.

The work will affect the customs declaration processing systems (MDAS and iMDAS), the National Transit Control System (NTKS), the EU trade data collection system (IDAIS), the customs authorization system (MLS), the General User Management Portal (BAP), the management system guarantees (GVS) and customs information system for tax accounting and control (MAKIS).

While all these systems are being updated, electronic customs services will not be provided. In addition, the release into free circulation of low-value and small quantities of goods will be suspended.

At the same time, some services will remain, for example, the preparation of a transit declaration, but it will be issued in paper form. In turn, you will also need to submit documents for its registration in paper form.

Updating customs systems may also affect border crossing times.
